ABOUT BIG BERRY

Led by guitarist Tal Yadin and Saxophonist Omri Abramov, Big Berry is a Jazz-Groove band influenced by Folk Middle-Eastern music. The two Berlin-based Israeli musicians have long experienced the cross-genre in the fields of jazz and oriental music, playing all over Europe with various acts.

As a enhanced Duo with effects and soundscapes, or as a powerhouse quartet Joined by a world-class rhythm section including bassist Francesco Beccaro and drummer Marc Michel, they bring their own original compositions with a wide range of Oriental Folk Music influences fused with Western modern Jazz grooves.

 

 

THE MUSICIANS 

 

Omri Abramov is an Israeli saxophonist, composer, and producer. He serves as the musical producer and saxophonist for the Iranian-Israeli ensemble Sistanagila. Additionally, Omri showcases his skills as a saxophonist and EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) player alongside the internationally acclaimed singer Noa. Beyond these roles, he leads the New York City-based trio Hovercraft, co-leads the Berlin based trio NITT and the former jazz-fusion band Niogi. He extensively tours as a sideman with various musical groups throughout the year. Omri’s impressive musical journey includes noteworthy performances and studio collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Dennis Chambers, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Shai Maestro, Pete Lockett, and many others.

 

Tal Yadin is an Israeli Guitarist and Composer, a graduate of the Rimon Jazz Institute in Tel Aviv and the Jerusalem Academy of Music in jazz performance and composition. His debut album, “In & Out”, came out in 2019. All composed and produced by Tal, the album features Israeli bassist Michael Edwards and New York-Israeli drummer Yaaki Levy. Tal currently works on his second studio projectHe tours Europe frequently with various groups in the fields of Jazz, World Music, and R&B, and is collaborating frequently with artists such as AŸA, Ina Forsman, Sistanagila, and Shai Bachar.

 

Francesco Beccaro is an Italian Bassist and Composer, a graduate and faculty member of the Collective School of Music in New York, and one of the featured students and soloists of Victor Wooten’s “Groove Workshop”. He collaborated with renowned artists such as Savion Glover, Jimmy Cobb, Oz Noy, Sean Wayland, and Ed Palermo Big Band, and is a member of the constantly touring bands Popa Chubby and Magro.

 

Marc Michel is a French drummer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. Master's graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, he frequently appears on stages and recording studios with numerous international artists such as Ben Wendel, Seamus Blake, Danny Grissett, Chris Cheek, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Mike Moreno, Jasper Hoiby, Tim Garland, EYM Trio, and more.
